Protest at Legislative Assembly of Ontario

On August 14th, 2022 @ 11 am - 3  pm,  our team along with our supporters gathered in Queen’s Park, at the front of the Legislative Assembly Building to fight for menstrual equity!

Our mission was made possible with a generous grant provided by Rising Youth. Our sponsors also provided gifts to give away to supporters at the protest, including but not limited to menstrual products!

Yoga Night

On March 31st, yoga instructor Erin O'Neill led a an

hour-long yoga session with a warm-up, a series of asanas to stretch the spine in various ways, sprinkled with some short relaxation in between.

The class concluded with a lovely final relaxation that brought calm to the body and mind.

Throughout the session, Erin provided tips/modifications/variations to keep in mind if/when practising during or just before menstruation.

Female Empowerment Art Auction

Displaying the talented work of many creators, our team held an art auction in November of 2020.

From crochet keychains to prints of artwork to interpretive sculptures, the auction had it all. Artists were able to set their starting bidding price to cover their expenses and labour, and proceeds were donated to Bleed the North!

Instagram Live Q&A

On September 24, 2020, Menstruation REDefined hosted a live Q&A with naturopathic doctor Cassandra Wilder (@menstruationqueen on Instagram).

Followers were able to ask menstrual health related questions and discuss the topic in detail. Watch the recorded live video on our Instagram!

Yoni Art Class Series

In August 2020, Menstruation REDefined hosted a series of yoni art classes with instructors Rachel Evans and Emily Berganza.

Tickets were a $5.00 donation to The Hope Sisters, to provide individuals in the foster care system with reusable menstrual products in their Hope bags.

The second art class concluded with an auction for Berganza’s completed piece, with the winning bid being a donation The Hope Sisters as well.

Achieving Menstrual Equity Webinar

On July 6, 2020, Menstruation REDefined hosted a webinar discussing menstrual equity and period poverty.

Participants joined Bhutila Karpoche (MPP for Parkdale-High Park), Isabella Rittinger (President of Bleed the north) and Lauren Cauchy (co-founder of Period Packs) in this important conversation.
